Thanks for tips with the BB and seat post, the BB is splined n sealed. Pretty much stripped the frame tonight, quick clean and degrease tomorrow and it'll be getting blued tomorrow night. Was hoping to have it blued today but its taken longer than i thought to strip. many thanks again

cheers for reply, used nitromors for my forks, still took a bit of effort for my lazy bones so was hoping for a quick fix with an imaginative wheelie bin dip but i guess i'm back to elbow grease

Very nice build, and v v shiney. Just to pick your brains for some caustic soda advice. I had a thought of using my wheelie bin as a frame dip, fill it with caustic soda and submerge my frame into it for a lazy paint strip soak. Would you see any problems with doing this i.e damage to frame...

really appreciate the prompt replies, needed some input before I took a hammer to it. Combination of wd40, tap with the hammer on the stem bolt, then popped the wheel back on and wrestled it out. Many thanks all, I'm looking forward to the strip and rebuild

Appreciate a little help on this, trying to strip my bike but struggling with the fork removal. I've popped the cap on the handlebar and removed the bolt thru the headset, loosened the locknut, but my handlebars aren't coming out and are still moving in line with the forks. What have I missed...

Alreet Folks, looking for some new cantilever brake hangers, but a bit be-spoke or unusual, could have bought some lizard ones off ebay but a bit pricey, anyway, has anyone one else managed to modify some brake hangers out of some other off the shelf product ? Many thanks

Thanks for all replies Was wanting to upgrade my chainset to a 48t big one, but all the ones I've seen are being marketed as 9 spd ones, planning on keeping my 7sp cartridge and shifter set up due to cost issues.
