I think that is just faded purple. The ti dye ones were a turquoise post with purple splashes.

Re: Partially leaving the hobby. I think you may be underestimating the rarity and quality of the NP frame and the condition and parts spec on both bikes. I am of course biased as I built them and searched slavishly for the right parts.

I hate you.... no seriously. They called it ti dye back in the day and it is arguably the rarest ringle kit ever. I only ever saw it on factory fat chance race bikes. You have no Idea how lucky a find that is.
