i picked this up ages ago, these are the only pics ive got of it built as its now in bits in my shed, im thinking about just keeping it in surviver condition until i find out more about it, plus i dont think it will be easy to get the transfers for it, sadly the blue mudguards fell apart , so...

And its sweet, works perfect realy comfy, saddle spot on, gears smooth and the center pulls stop on a dime, im inpresed, i changes that horid bar tape aswell , and a little more cleaning, its got a chossy leather saddle bag, but i might change it to a carradice one, i do like the leather one...

I think david baker has sold his shop, plus i think he was very ill ?

there defo not 1inch as wouldnt fit my beast, maybe measure them across steve, ? there a realy fat steerer, :?

cheers mate, it all feels good once up on the saddle, my other road bike is all too low front etc, and i got one of those adjustable stems to see how it would feel higher, but looks stupid , this bike looks right, with level saddle and stem, ill give it a go, :D paul

i liked that aswell, yep new tape on its way, i remember that tape from the early 90's yuk and its falling apart, not that would of stopped me changing it lol, :lol:

wow thanks for that , so its 1983 , great to read the spec, so not much has changed from new, ive also got that rack, i took it off as not using it, its realy light, i cant wait to take it apart and give it a major overhaul, sadly there is a little dent on the TT , and a bad scratch down the DT...

i had this dropped of this am, i got it off of ebay for £50 , i love it , ill change the tape, but ill not change much else, its a bit bigger than my new rides, but looks more era correct like this, nice to ride, doea anyone no much about them ? thanks paul :D its got campagnolo...

i feel the same, i love old racers and clubman style bikes, i just got this today, i got it off ebay for £50 bargain, brooks b17 saddle, campag gear mechs and levers, all works, a bit big for me, but then thats how they rode them, i come form the era of small frames , but my back these days...

sti are much easyer to use , but for the classic bike you have to have down tube shifters, these are on my raleigh clubman , full campag gear set up , :D

this is a very nice stem, ive had it on my road bike, as its short and ive got a bad back, ive sorted a different stme now so im selling this one, its in good nick and wasnt cheap new, im after £15 posted, bargain :D paul

im sure benesto's and the 7-eleven lot were the last steel frames, merkckx frames etc, sure we are talking 93ish all ali and carbon now :cry:

I still love the look of clips and straps, but after using clipples since 93 i dont think i would ever go back, get some you will not regret it :D
