    So an update on this...if you're interested..... Looking at the frame and rubbing the rust off the drop outs it revealed the frame had Campag ends too I then decided this was probably a decent bike back when it was new so then went on to source as many quality parts as possible from eBay and...

    It makes the spokes shorter and so the wheel itself is stiffer with less flex (although I could be wrong) Cheers Mike

    And that is a good time isn't it? I had a PB of 23.something when I was younger,lighter and fitter Just wondered how much faster people are these days on the more modern machinery..are sub 20 min tens the norm now on an evening TT? ...suppose I should buy a copy of Cycling Weekly.. :lol...

    Was an active member of the East Grinstead Cycling Club in the late seventies and early eighties Still got my road/tt bike and here we are in action, the Brighton Mitre 29mile Team Time Trial .. sometime in 1979 (that's me on the front..I wonder if any of the others frequent "retrobike")...
