    Guyzer, just about finished

built by someone called Guy (I think) based out of Hot Pursuit run by John Spurr in Totnes in the mid-90s. Had a chat with him when I was 14 in '96 about his frames, he recomended that I get the new ('95) A1 Rockhopper that was reduced on the grounds of cost and quality - not much of a salesman...

I think that somehow you seem to have missed the point.

Do you still have your first MTB?

to add balance, mine was a 1988 24" wheel Universal with side-pull calipers, steel rims and 12 gears - did a lot of miles and many woodland, moorland and footpath jaunts.

    Muddy Fox Interactive..

Try as I might, I can't resolve this: with this: or this: :? It would have come with full M900 XTR groupset or possibly (if production ran into '96) the 1st gen M950 (grey) XTR, not the weird mish mash shown on the eBay listing.

    Retro Trends

My own opinion is that there is often a lot of time, money and effort being thrown at builds that either have little historical interest, engineering merit or personal involvement. For example ameybrook's Kona Cindercone (or was it a Lava Dome?) - not exactly a piece of exotica, repainted in a...

    Retro Trends

word to that. I think as ameybrook and rumpfy have been saying for a while (paraphrasing) that there isn't enough critism on here. :?: maybe current economic woes will put the dampers on the white Fire Mountain with non-period Cook Bros/Grafton/Ringle acoutrements phenomenon...

    Show me your Merlins!

seems a shame to build a Merlin with such an ecclectic mix; those 5" Pace forks can't do much for the famed handling. Ho hum, check out some of the others on here for real pedigree: Carsten & Archangel know the score.

    san andr5eas

the San Andreas is a much under-rated design in my opinion - proper futuristic manufacturing technique (hydroforming) back in the early '90s. But that is a horrible build! But I understand it's not finished. Anyway, dual-crown forks (why do people still insist on calling them triple-clamps?)...

    Cheap delivery to Slovenia?

sent a frame to Slovakia for £30 + £17.50 insurance (to value of £750) with these guys when Business Post quoted £85; was initially dubious but it got there on schedule http://www.eparcelz.com/

Voodoo Bizango, finished for now (non retro...)

470mm axle-crown/100mm travel - I got some Reba forks which compliment the light frame design though Marzocchi XC500 would hark back to the Murray-Kona era 8) geometry here: http://www.voodoocycles.net/08_bizango.htm with regard to the BB threads - the shell had not been chased after the...

Voodoo Bizango, finished for now (non retro...)

if you do beware 2 things: Parcel Farce will charge £13.50 on top of the customs duty (was £8.61), for covering these costs at the point of entrance to the UK - scamtastic, bet they were rubbing their collective paws when they dreamt this one up :( - and you will need to get the BB threads...

Voodoo Bizango, finished for now (non retro...)

did you get that from a Taiwanese eBay seller? I did - mine is orange not white, which I would have preferred but they only had 18"s in orange, ho hum. Built mine up, its a super nice ride - the geometry is not in line with the current long On One/Pipedream/etc fashion, with shorter TT and a...

    Project LTS is go (nearly!)

GT experts please correct if wrong but that looks like an earlier ('95/6?) erar arm with the titanium rocker on a newer (post '97?) front triangle... a slimmer alu. alloy one was used on later variants; not that it matters unless you wnat a period correct build. Anyone built a Nico replica 8) ?

    Who has the worst logo?

the new (post 2000?) Merlin Metalworks logos are hideous especially when compared to the original - who could blame joe bloggs for confusing this with the erstwhile lancs mega discount shop brand :?
