Re: Good point on the seatpost - will get some spittle on it later :facepalm: The stem does look pretty well done - the engraving is good quality, I've just not been able to find any pictures of any similar ones on the net, which makes me suspicious. I can't imagine it's the only one!

After 6 months of hunting and searching for parts, often paying over the odds due to a lack of patience, the CBT Italia is finished. I even built most of it myself, but needed some assistance every now and then from my local LBS. The frame had never been built up and has some nice aero curves...

I'm putting together a mixte that was once a claud butler majestique. It used to have single ring crankset but I want to upgrade it to a double. I've got a nice Shimano 600 and attached it, but the inner ring is so close to rear triangle of the frame, a chain won't fit on, never mind go round...

Can anyone recommend any nice wall brackets? I'll be hanging the ride in my lounge ideally after something that blends function and form! Interested in options to hang vertically and horizontally. Cheers David

Re: having said that, the campag cables I had didn't have ferrules for the brake cables, only the gear cables - is that normal? I did scratch my head when I was building it this weekend but decided it was ok as the cable pack didn't come with any.

I've just fitted a new set of campag cables with white outers but have realised I've cut the outers too short for the height of my stem, so need to get some new ones (and then re-wrap the bar tape etc :facepalm: :facepalm: :facepalm: ). I have a bit of slack on the cable itself so don't need...
