    It's a good job next-day-puntures don't count for towards the Rubber Queen award. Not only did I puncture on the trail on Tuesday night, but both tyres were flat the next day. There were a further six holes to mend. Seven puntures in one ride, that has to be some kind of record? See you Tuesday.

    Tuesday and Vikings? Where is the ride tomorrow? Did I miss the Charnwood ride? The quarries above Whitwick were suprisingly dry on Sunday morning, not sure about conditions down at Thringstone. Is anyone doing the Viking Challenge this weekend?

    Bon Jovi Bridge Can I suggest that the bridge in Jaguar Wood is henceforth refered to as 'Bon Jovi' bridge; it is most definitely Slippery When Wet. I have some really good gravel rash to prove it. No lasting damage. Mrs Rum is ok, and so are the bikes. Hope Phil is ok too.

    Every cloud has a retro lining I took a picture of some strange men I found lurking in a cloud on Saturday. Well done Rob for excellent organisation. I've already deleted all the climbs from my memory, so a thoroughly enjoyable ride. Nice to meet every body. cheers Hidetherum
