My 88 Kona has a sloping top tube, obviously earlier about though.

Just tried pumping up to 50psi, but still they just turn, hmmmm. Frustrated as hell! Cheers for help though

Hi WD They do look very similar, just had a look at your build thread (and lost another half an hour of my life!!! awesome!!) yours had one eyelet per side and mine had two. Were the eyelets brazed on yours? Mine were cast as part of the dropout. Cheers Dan (inspired)

Yes they have gone! Not finished yet though, been too busy, (this is going to be the slowest build in history!!) but here is a pic for those that are interested, I think it makes the back end nice and clean? I had little interest in saving them for practical purposes so they had to go.

Dont think that is an 88 with canti's on the back and a forward facing seat collar. Just an observation.

Well the drop out lugs have gone! looks bad at the mo but a bit of smoothing about and I am sure it will be fine :? The braze ons will have to wait til tomorrow when a mate is bringing in a blow torch. Thanks for opinions

So....I have an 88 Kona Fire Mountain, its a heavy old frame but fancy doing it up, the frame is stripped and I am not sure wether to remove the brazed on rack mounts on the seat stays and the drop out mounts that are part of the cast drop out. Whats your opinion?

I have just read this post from the beggining, truly great build and its been said before but the attention to detail is outstanding. Love it. Well done and I too am looking forward to the next installment!
