Re: A friend of mine has used a 9speed deore on a ten speed set up which works ok, might be worth ago before you by a new mech, surely the rear mech only stops where the shifter tells it to!

Re: Wheels for rim brakes - Mavic D521 / 721 etc I have a pair of 521 ceramics I'll check what hubs there on, I think it's a xtr front and hope rear, I'll double check tomorrow.

Nice apart from the forks, wouldn't run shocks on a trials bike, you can maybe get away with it on Gt., but each to there own.
