    Retro suspension forks wanted.

Forks wanted for my '99 Specialized FSR Steerer 1 1/8 and at least 210mm and for 26" wheel please. Preferably a good retro make, Rockshox, Manitou etc. As long as they are in good working order I am not worried how they look cosmetically I am in Essex.

Looks like you are correct Thwang-666, shows how old school I am, I'd never heard of 700c or 29er, thanks for enlightening me. Not only retro bike but retro rider here :-)

    Show us yer FSR's

Had to add mine to this thread, just pulled it out of storage after about 8 years. Front tyre was still hard, rear flat and forks solid. Looking forward to getting it working again and hitting the trails (gently) :-)

Is anyone making and selling these yet?

Are these forks for a larger than 26" wheel? Or for a different type of brakes?

Can anyone help please, I bought a cheap set of forks to tide me over while I hopefully repair my original Manitous. The problem is the posts for the brakes is in a different position, higher and I can't use my XT V brakes.

Need a new seat post too, 30.9 I believe. This one is too short. Apart from that. It rides perfectly. :-)

I've found a manual for them I'll take them apart tomorrow and see what I've got. They are quite complex inside.

Thank you. All they say on them is Manitou Pro. No serial number or other clues.

Thanks for that. I'd forgotten about elastomer. Any idea how I identify my forks, to buy the correct kit?

Hi all, I am new here, I have pulled my old bike out after a few years and looking to get back in the saddle. It's a 1999 or thereabouts Specialized FSR. Still in great condition except the front suspension seems to be locked. Shimano XT everything. Wouldn't change it for the world.
