Re: Wow...they're expensive. They look nice mind. I'm in no rush for a seatpost, as my builds have kinda ground to a halt while work and family things calm down. I've never heard of Tune before...are they a new brand?

Re: Loving the build so far. Great choice of bits. The black-ops v-brakes are awesome. I'm struggling to find a 27.0 seatpost for my LTS, the only ones which seem to turn up are new crappy ones or old road bike ones. Can't wait to see the finished bike.

A nice condition blue rear Hope titanium hub wanted - as range pictured below. Colour must be good (not faded).

Re: Best thread i've seen posted in ages! I have a 1996 GT LTS with most bits ready for building...very tempting to just send on for assembly...but part of me truly believes that one weekend soon the wife and kids will let me play with all my tools, uninterrupted! Great offer LGF.

Re: Anodised colours that i'm aware of: Red Ink Blue Aqua Blue Purple (3DV) Lime Green? Black? Pink? I think there was a burnt/brown anodised one too - though you don't hear much about it. Someone with a bit more knowledge will hopefully be along shortly to give a bit more of an accurate list!

Re: Good work on the build - looks great! I also have a '96 Explosif in the same colour scheme. I'll be going down the respray route though - as mine's not in nearly as good condition as yours. Enjoy riding your new bike!

Re: Eventually got around to fitting shifters, mechs and chain yesterday. I challenge anybody to set up adjusters on the mechs and indexing whilst your 2yr old daughter keeps snatching your tools out of your hands and then hiding them! Took me 20mins at one point to find some allen keys...

Re: Certainly interested in the wheelset. Do you have any pictures showing current condition? You refer to 'almost NOS' in the ad description - are you just referring to the rims or, the rims/skewers/hubs/spokes? Any scratches / faults to note?

Re: I can definately vouch for the 'wow' factor of this bike... I spotted a nice shiny aqua blue zaskar with Girvin forks out of the corner of my eye on my way to work this morning - coming past Cogan station. I'm guessing there can't be 2 of these bikes with this spec in Penarth! Well done...

Re: Looks like a really nice bike - and a fun ride too I bet! I remember working for £2 an hour back then...to save it all up for a ridiculously overpriced x-lite shiny bit! Would be good to see some more photo's on your thread.

Re: I'm in the process of building a Zaskar with HS33's. I have bought some 'BBB Hydroclamps' - as pictured below. These are designed to sit in the cable stops on the frame and clamp any form of hydraulic hose. I haven't fitted them yet, so can't comment much at the moment - can't see why...
