Re: Going totally against the grain of retrobike. Everyone who seems to have ridden an e-bike seems to think they are the business, got to be worth a look, especially if you have health concerns? Focus Jam looks the business.

Best brakes ever, where did you find a set of those? I had a set of the original ones that came with the braided hose in 2001.

Re: In a cross race i did recently a guy rolled up to the start line on a fat bike. I think the only thing that could possibly of made his day worse would of been having that as a drivetrain. His fatbike was so bad in the mud it nearly didn't get off the start line. :lol:

Re: I was going to say the tyres will be a pain so echo the others, bin they tyres and get something better to run tubeless and get out on it. It looks a great and fast bike, right up my street that.

Re: Chucking my hat in the ring and saying WTB Cross Boss. I've had a set of these on my (shudder) Gravel bike for the last year, rand them tubeless without issue and they have done everything I expected of them from a bit of mountain biking to 90+ mile road rides. Amazingly had no issues...

Cheap, bits box specials for a 1x10 CX experiment please. Rings not important, but would prefer shimano HT2 type if possible bacause iv got a spare BB already.

Re: I dont think converting to drop bars would be worth the effort and you may end up with a position not really suitable for anything. If the bikes comfy and fits well then picking the right tyres can make a bike suitable for most situations, sounds like a set of semi slicks or narrower tyres...

Re: Don't rule out the Raleigh performance range, Raleigh seem to be secretly making a range of very good quality kids bikes separate from their normal stuff and not really advertising it properly. My lad has the Performance 16 and its a really nicely made little bike, comes with proper cranks...

Re: I think I was using some Campagnolo Stheno rims around then, they we'rent that common at the time so probably even less so now. Mine were Ano blue with Purple nipples IIRC, I thought they looked the dogs, its another option for you at least?

Re: Nope? Iv had various products of theirs and always felt they were well designed and put together, clearly you have had different experiences? Actually to substantiate I had a look on wiggle for all Lezyne products to check out consumer reviews, they all seem at the high end of the scale...
