Rear derailleur fitting problems - Now resolved

Ah you got ME thinking now! Lol, u have the option to not use SIS for now by flicking the small tab lever on the xt shifter. Certainly 8 and 9 speed isn't compatable with each other, i assumed thats the same for 7 and 8 speed. But then 7 and 8 speed chains are the same width so...

    I'm going...

I always say to myself if i start going bald i'll just shave it off and be done with it. Just the initial shock will be hard to deal with but after a few months it'll just seem normal. Happens to many many people, eh Scarefacexxx

The EDIT/DELETE option for a post

Well this may be a totally stupid question but i'm baffled(not difficult  ) I accidently posted a reply twice, and hovering over the edit option on the right it shows up 'edit' and 'delete'. But after clicking on it there is no delete option/button anywhere! I can edit the post till...

Rear derailleur fitting problems - Now resolved

Ok, i'll be brave and answer. Ur using 8 speed shifters with a 7 speed cassette. Did that not strike you as being the problem? For every click at the shifter a 7,8 or 9 speed shifter pulls the cable 'x' distance, which is exactly what the distance is for the matching 7,8 or 9 speed...

    Riding position alteration/question

Seems we're all echo-ing the fact your seat height may be a little low. So i'd def start there. Agree with Anthony on increasing the stem length is generally not the best way to sort this, same as fitting longer forks, you get a 'wierd' feeling when you ride it as you've upset the frames...

AFTERMATH - Brighton Beach Cruise 19th Sept 2010

Shame, really wanted to do that as well  Someone was looking over us that day as we didn't have a ticket(literally  ) or a wheelclamp on the car despite being parked in the carpark for over 4 hours! Hahaha, 1 up on the parking wardens :P

    Riding position alteration/question

Well if you ask me, your saddle should be set higher as your not maximising your power when pedalling- set it so your leg is almost straight when the flat part of your foot is over the pedal axis pivot point. You'll find afterwards your leg is then only slightly bent when outstretched with...

Do I have disc tabs?? 1999 Klein Attitude Comp with pics

I'm looking to convert my Attitude comp to IS as i want to fit my XTR BRM 965's calliper instead of the original parallel fitting Hayes calliper thats standard on there at mo. Can't understand why A2Z can't make the bracket so it is a bolt on affair, job done??? I work in engineering...

And i spent my evening...lacing up a rear wheel

Hahaha  yeah i knew someone would come back with something like that :D I guess i do, my time is split 95/5 with 95% spent working on them, the 5% is how little i actually use them! I gotta call it stop tho, 10 is an awful lot when i ran out of space to keep them at 8! I just can't part...

And i spent my evening...lacing up a rear wheel

Oh the fun, a bargain ebay purchase of a pair of mavic rims/stout hub wheels turned out not to be a bargain when they 'forgot' to mention in the advert they were 2 front wheels  So i thought, 'hay do's' i'll but this 24 seven singlespeed rear hub on the for sale thread on retrobike and...
