Project Marin Palisades Trail budget buy.

Aim is for fairly light urban street hack without spending too many ££££s. Bought for £40 from a house next to the sea. It's been left outside and is rusty but actually rode OK. I was going to give it a quick spruce up and sell on but as I discovered so much seized and really rusty a quick...

Budget Light Rigid Street Cred not required

Decision made, as I already have a Marin Palisades Trail here which is putting up a fight with everything seized, it has volunteered itself!

Budget Light Rigid Street Cred not required

My lack of work today is the result of wondering what I would build Retro MTB wise that was light and on a budget, hence frames with big street cred are a no go. As an example most Oiks in the street won't look twice at a 90's Diamondback or Tmax....but put a Cannondale sticker on it and the...

Mountain Bike Film Tread / Shred or something?

I went into the studio to do some work, put the film on in the background. Schoolboy error, now grinning watching the film. Work achieved? Zero. Janner

Mountain Bike Film Tread / Shred or something?

Trying to dig up a film I watched possibly late 80's. Following a couple of guys in the US. I thought it was "Shred" but that brings up snowboarding. Anybody remember it? Janners

Marin Lite Tyres - A Pair from a 1993 Palisade Trail

Bought the bike but it will be for urban use hence the tyres would be a shameful waste on it! On eBay with a full set of pictures. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/333618365162

I am certainly not an expert but I did think there was a bit of a disparity.

Today's excitement... A Marin Palisades Trail.

Picked it up having bought it based on some photo's. It was a very sad bike. But hey a wipe with an oily cloth cheered me up. Granted it sure isn't mint but it's better than it looked and it all works. It appears to be original other than the grips. Needs a really, really good clean!

1996 Explosif in need of re-alignment

Following as I am confused. Not saying you are wrong in any way, but I don't get it. If the rear mech sits correctly under the largest sprocket, in what way would the frame cause it to touch the spokes? My first action would be to pop on another back wheel and see what happens. I'll add I am no...

Claud Butler Ritchey Competition, can't find diddly!

"Legrandfromage", excellent. I thought I had seen something on here, it turns out it was the Peachy thread, couldn't find it for looking. Now to continue to work out whether this is a junker cobbled together or what. Janners
