    Lubricant...What for where?

DON'T SHOOT ME... As it says really. Since I was a lad (now in my 50's) I have used any old car grease for bearings, everything else got WD40 for winter and GT85 for summer. Now my bikes are getting older and perhaps a little more care in the lubrication areas might be called for. Can't have...

    Epoch freewheel removal tool.

Well that made life easier, combined with a suggestion for Manchester Cycles on eBay I have spent £3.89 which includes postage...so not expecting a lifetime guarantee! Barmy thing is I could have bought one for less from China. I'll do my little bit for UK business. Alas my go to LBS didn't have...

    Epoch freewheel removal tool.

Ahh, interesting. I have a shimano cassette tool which as you point out, doesn't fit. So that widens things somewhat if I can use a shimano freewheel tool. OK I don't have one, but it makes getting one easier. Anybody got a spare shimano freewheel tool that want to sell me? Thanks folks. Janners

    Epoch freewheel removal tool.

Anybody got an epoch freewheel removal tool floating about they don't need anymore? I bought a couple of cheap used MTB wheels and one of them has an epoch freewheel. I'll probably never need to use it again, but I like widgets. :D

    Early Muddyfox Lovers Anonynmous

Hi "elite504" Marvelous information. It's in Devon, but I can't agree a price with the current owner. It needs work as it sounds like it's been neglected, gears don't work etc. I reckon it's £50 worth as I have a 90 mile round trip to get it. owner wants £75. I actually thought £40 was a better...

I have hunted everywhere and can't find a reference to this one, hence jumping on this thread. Is it a muddy fox? Was there such a thing? Fat tubes aluminium? I rather like it but can't buy yet another bike just because I like it I now need to look at buying nice bikes....just because I like...

    Spoke replacement on entire wheel?

    ### QUESTION ### One spoke at a time? I have set of wheels off a Marin, nothing flash, and they have rusty spokes. I quite like the idea of respoking (is that even a word?) the wheels. So can I just replace one spoke at a time and work my way around? I know I need to different sizes for each...

City & Guilds Bicycle Mechanic. Any good?

Just looking at this course. In my 50's and worked on my own mountain bikes since being a nipper, which probably means I have some very ham fisted arse about face ways of doing things. Road bikes, what are these things that people mention in dark corners all huddled together? No intention of...
