Re: I've got a Specialized stem very similar to the one in the pic above, can send you some more info tonight when I get home. It's black, 1" and about 130mm long with a bit of rise so should fit the bill.

Re: Nice bike but that's not a mk1. This is the 1990 version and the Cinder Cone was first available in 1988 (with rear U-brake and Mountain LX Groupset), so Mk2 or 3 but I'd just state it's from 1990 and leave it at that. Good luck with the sale.
