thanks for all the feedback everyone, its nice this one has been so well received, sorry its taken me so long to reply, I only just noticed the last few posts, the site has stopped e-mailing me for some reason. To answer Grumpy, the bars are a replacement I sourced off e-bay after months and...

thanks, if anyone's got a Mavic 236 rim for sale I'd be interested as I've got a bronze STX front hub to match the rear one. I'd swap the one in the pic but its one of a pair i'd like to leave as is.

    Raleigh shopper

picked this up for £30 and turned it into a shopping bike, it needed a lot of cleaning up, new headset and brakes but it rides beautifully, there's next to no wear in the drivetrain and it handles very well indeed. Despite having stuff i've spent way more on its one of my favourite bikes to ride...

    1997 Marin Pine Mountain

this is another bike I got off its original owner who'd hardly used it. The original Manitou fork had seized up so I swapped it for these Bombers which I sprayed up to match (nearly) and they perform nicely.

    1996 Sunn Exact Ti

built this up from a bare frame using quite a few parts I already had and a few off e-bay. I just wanted a light bike for regular off-road use and I didn't want to be waiting ages to source parts so some of you may think some of the parts let it down. I got the decals off e-bay France but...

    1993 Specialized Rockhopper

got this off the original owner who'd hardly used it, changed the seat, stem, bars, brakes, boosters, hangers and wheels. Gave it a proper downhill test and it performed well but it will propably have a very easy life from hereon, hence the slicks.

    1957 New Hudson

got this off my uncle who was about to throw it out so I decided to do it up, got it powder coated, cleaned up and replaced some of the parts. You can't see the frame number now because of the powder coat but I seem to remember there was a "57" in the number on the bottom bracket and I read they...

thanks Jimo, I found a nice trail the other week up by the canal where the Stanley Ferry is and the woods that lead to Heath Common. I'm looking for a new camera to do the pics justice cos my current one is 10yrs old (retrocamera?)

hello to everyone, just registered. Got a few old bikes I'll share when I've sorted pics and reached me post requirement. I live in Pontefract West Yorks and would be interested in any local rides that might be going - nothing too epic for me old bones tho!
