sorry for late response. Soooo, you could do a Weinmann front wheel and a rear five speed on what kind of rim? Don't know what atom is. Must research this... Are these alloy? With spokes?

Its 27 inch and I'm trying to retain the original weinmann brakes so would prefer to keep the old wheel size.

Hello thanks. I've discovered they had weinmann wheels, 27 inch by one and a quarter. Rear freewheel with five gears. You got those? Sorry I'm in nottingham. How much with postage? Can you post some pics?

OK I've got a front wheel for my 1980s Raleigh Richmond restoration job; now I'm after a 27 inch back wheel with five gears. Not sure what wheels these had. Raleigh rims and hubs? But anything decent considered. Thanks

The frames I have are like the one in your picture. I have researched the issue on the inter web and the consensus seems to be that they were 27s not 700s. Can I hang fire on the derailleurs? I need to show mine, and the frame, to some folks at a jumble this weekend before going any further...

Thanks. I've found the spec for the richmond lady and its 27 inch wheels so I assume they were the same. Ive got the shifters and derailleurs, the latter looking a bit more rusty and used than yours. When did yours last see action?
