Another frame building course... done, dusted and ridden :)

Re: Day Four. Not a great day. I phoned in, reluctantly, apologising because I was really not feeling very well. I went back to bed feeling poorly and also feeling like I was missing out and had things to do. I took a few things to try and sort out my malade, tried to get some sleep and finally...

Another frame building course... done, dusted and ridden :)

Re: Day two consisted of more filing and brazing. Its fair to say it was a pretty uneventful day, albeit I really enjoyed just carrying on creating a frame. At the end of day two, the front triangle was in place and the bottom bracket tacked to all the tubes (BB would be brazed last) and I'd...

Another frame building course... done, dusted and ridden :)

After seeing the framebuilding thread (and really nice frame) by makster (here: viewtopic.php?f=41&t=297169) It reminded me that yet again, I had promised myself to build my own bike, but hadn't done anything about it. So seeing Maksters thread, obviously, I forgot about that (again) and went on...

Re: Can't go anywhere it seems.... Walked into Velo cafe determined to only spend money on coffee and within 2 minutes had some m900 / Mavic D231 wheels magneted to my hands. Bloke walked up to me, handed them to me and said 'You'll want these'. I guess he was right.

    Audax - November 9th

I don't think its much different to the last one, I think that was rated at 1100m I think its a category thing so might not be precise. Or, you are concerned as you are planning on a lot of pie consumption?

    Audax - November 9th

Hi All, On our last Audax Jaunt, we were advised this event would be worth looking out for: http://www.aukweb.net/events/detail/14-186/ Apparently, the event is held on a loop around Petworth and has a village hall with plenty of food available - certainly if the last event was anything to go...

    WTD: Silver rims (v-brake / canti) on 8 / 9sp hubs

Re: WTD: Orange Bars, seatpost, Silver rims on 8sp hubs? Sounds great, thanks, as stated I will probably convert to single speed hence it seems easier to get converters for 8/9 spd freehubs

    time trial bike question

Re: Typically the differences are small but things like: Short as possible wheelbase: back and front wheels tucked into frame as far as possible - 'track like' fork rake, vertical rear dropouts or track dropouts as you are not really going to be adjusting wheel fit as your bestest tyres are...
