What do the Glasses wearers do on a bike?

The short answer is no but that doesn't quite cover it. They do a straight insert which any optician can glaze. Depending on the strength of your prescription it might sit too close to the eye. I had to go for the curved insert to get around that problem but then a mad scientist in the Adidas...

What do the Glasses wearers do on a bike?

£300-£400 odd    Unless you've got a complicated/strong prescription like mine then the lenses should be cheaper. Over 300 quid is probably a rip off for converting frames when I paid 298 all in for new glasses regurgitating from my post on prescription sunnies...

    White Brake Outers...

Picked some up in John's Bikes in Bath on Saturday. Not sure how much they had in stock but they were expecting more in. Presumably because all the new Trek road bikes in the shop all have white cable outers this year and white is the new black...... http://www.johnsbikes.co.uk/

    Pub transport ...........

Never had to pay for a beer scooter myself but fallen foul of the beer monkey too many times. He visits you after you've passed out, nicks all your money, ruffles your hair and then cr@ps in your mouth. You then wake in the morning wondering why all your money has gone, you look dreadful and...

    Cycling songs

Working from home the last 3 weeks I've finally gone through my CD collection and want to listen to something new so let's hear those cycling related songs and music I thought I'd kick off with the mustachioed Wild Billy Childish and the Buff Medways' "Medway Wheelers"...

    Cycling literature

Got through a few cycling books recently: Both the Alastiar Humphrey's books are good and as Jamiedyer says he has a good blog http://www.alastairhumphreys.com/ Also read the following recently The Flying Scotsman The death of Marco Pantini - well worth reading Put me back on my bike -...

    cyclescheme

John, I think not although it may depend on how you pay yourself through the company. I'm in a similar position to you but couldn't register Quote form the cyclescheme website "Please note that the scheme is available to UK tax payers who pay PAYE. Self-employed workers cannot take part...

    14" Kona or similar

I'm after a very small frame or complete bike for my girlfriend who's 5ft nothing so probably something like a 14" Kona Hahanna or similar. Only needs rigid forks as it'll just be a run around for the country lanes near us as she's not into off road. I won't be seen out with her on the heap of...

Let's see those retro road bikes

I recently picked up a Carlton (Raleigh) Grand Prix from ebay for a bargain price. The frame number dates it to May 1980. Raleigh cranks and gears, Weinmann 610 brakes. There is a little surface rust so I'll treat the frame and get it powderocated. I was after an old lugged steel frame and...

    broken titanium frame

I've got a DNA frame from about 1999 I think. I put a few dings in the top of the seat tube removing a seized seat post and just haven't got round to getting it properly repaired. I haven't had a repair priced up yet and I'll be stripping it for a p7 build so it's probably going to gather dust...

Bikes in the movies! Post them up!

A little known movie from Belgium http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJhU7mcwBTQ&feature=related Quote from IMDB: "In the 70s, there was Merckx and there were the others. Ghislain Lambert was one of the others. This is his story, a quite simple one. The story of a modest Belgian bike racer. His...
