Hmm really, that kind of puts a different spin on things for me, but OTOH the seller was apparently selling it as part of an estate from the deceased owner so may well be obliged to get the best price for everything.

Got to stick up for gripshift here, I loved it. Admittedly I used to always fit gore-tex cables then they were silky smooth, Also used to trim the barrel down so it was super short.

Okay let me rephrase that, I could use that headset if I'd bought the bike and sold the rest, the price of them is too rich for me. Fair play to whoever got it, they've cleaned those parts up nicely. Great score.

To mount that horrible rear parcel rack, were any modifications made to the original frame? That did occur to me too. That and what is going on with the headset?
