I had lilac levers like these on a BMX bike I bought a couple of years ago, they're flimsy, unfortunately. You can find them on eBay.

hey, don't knock Syncros rims, I had them on my 2001 GT iDrive 4.0, they outlasted my GT frame! 😁

GT had both the Cyclone and Psyclone models in the early 90's, correct me if I am wrong but the Cyclone was only made for one year, where the Psyclone was made for a longer period after it's introduction.

That bike looks stunning! I have noticed you have the same grips as what I have on my 1992 Pantera AL, it took me a while to get used to as they're quite bulky, they're closest thing I could find to match the original GT/A'ME Waffle grips.

GT already had 26" wheeled BMX bikes in the 80's which inspired my Tempest build, which originally started from my 1999 Tequesta which I bought to help me get back into cycling with a bad back (at that time, but has improved since, I gladly add)...

That's an interesting point but I'd be worried about damaging the thumb shifters that way.

My recently acquired thumbies for my beloved GT Pantera, always inline with brake levers for me.
