Silverfish 1992 Mountain Cycle San Andreas

Choosing between Syncros and Answer for the cockpit was a long hesitation for mine. Glad we took different routes, so that everyone can see the options :)

Is this a 90's Orange Prestige?

Well, not much that I can add, I'm afraid. Aren't there any evidences of a head tube badge? It's metallic and bonded to the frame. If the paint is original, I expect to see "shadows" of the badge on the head tube.

Is this a 90's Orange Prestige?

You're right. The Technium frames, made of heterogeneous material bonded together using a proprietary epoxy developed by Boeing, were manufactured by Derby Cycle Company (of Kent, WA) in the Seattle (WA) factory between 1988 and 1994 and sold under the Raleigh USA brand. In the present case...

Too bad that you weren't already in the business when I had to replace the elastomers of my Suspenders System II. I had to source them overseas with costly S/H fees and custom taxes. Now I know where I can find you :-)

Silverfish 1992 Mountain Cycle San Andreas

Maybe late on the party :p. I did the same some times ago (https://www.retrobike.co.uk/threads/92-mountain-cycle-san-andreas-resurrection.454736/post-3338133). Not wanting to hijack @fguki, but just in case, I had my elastomer refresh kit from Suspension Forks Parts...

Nice! This reminds me a half-ECS Cook Bros frame that was for sale on eBay some time ago. Don't remember the model name.

Raleigh USA John Tomac Ti Titanium + Tioga blue

Late on the party, but very nice Raleigh USA MTi2000 from 1993 that you've put your hands on, @fguki. If you had some spare time, would you please look at the diameter of your seatpost, as it still the OEM Tioga DL2000 one, and provide us with the information to this forum? This would help...

    Silverfish 1992 Another Yeti ARC

Naive question there: will the welding repair stands forever? I was told that to prevent further tube cracking, you have to drill or cut the neighborhood of the crack to stop its propagation. Is this what Dan did when you said that he "v-cuts" (what's that?) the crack? And then filling the gap...

Syncros Revolution Cranks - Generational Differences?

From the catalogue pictures, the finish is gloss in 1992-94. 1995 is missing. Starting in 1996, the finish seems satin. From this thread [1], the early ones were made of Columbus Nivacrom and more prone to crack than the True Temper OX3 ones. Presumably, the gloss ones are the Colombus flavour...

'92 Mountain Cycle San Andreas resurrection

The only parts that needed to be replaced were the elastomer stacks that I've purchased from Suspension Fork Parts: https://www.suspensionforkparts.net/eshop/mountain-cycle/suspenders-system-inverted-ii.html

did Ferrari ever have a connection with . . .

Something that I've undone, in fact. I bought it as-is, dressed like a Ferrari. But I don't think there ever was a connection between Ferrari and San Andreas. The Selle Italia Novus (Ferrari engineering) is legit, though.

'92 Mountain Cycle San Andreas resurrection

Thanks @Silverfish. Well, no problem here with the Mongo headset. So don't know what to say . Do you have a rebuild thread of your Sanny? BTW, the link to the Yeti C26 in your signature is dead.
