Frame Designs that Shouldn't Work but Do!

I've always been interested in weird and wonderful frame design, from Moulton multi tube /small wheel to Paris Galibier. First up, two designs which shouldn't work but I think really do : French built Ganolo curved seat tube and the the really avant garde carbon monocoque Vitus ZX1

Razesa made some excellent frames. They made a few of Indurains tt bikes. I could have picked one up in Banesto colours in 2010 in Zaragoza , but getting it home would've been a nightmare.

    Mtb Titanium - Columbus Hyperion

Very classy but as stated above, it was probably farmed out to anther builder, Bianchi and Colnago did the same with their titanium offerings

    Bottecchia Frame

They've got a dedicated sub forum for big bikes and frames, and they're London based so you can get a bit more cash! Value wise I'm not sure, depending on the condition of the paint, maybe 4-600?

What is your Holy Grail among French frame builders?

My particular favourite is the Ganolo with curved seat tube. They're not cheap though, the French love them and they go 2 grand upwards 🙄😁

What is your Holy Grail among French frame builders?

I've seen that Aero 7 tubing before, it can be formed and found on loads of French frames.

    Bottecchia Frame

I don't think they really had model names, just variations in frame tubings and finishing

    Bottecchia Frame

It looks like a 63/64cm. About 25.5 inches. If you're doing it up to move it on, you might have a bit of luck on the LFGSS forum as they've got a big frame sub forum.

the New Buzzword is 13spd cassettes, oh i can't wait for 14 spd cassettes. 8spd cassettes were cool, 9spd not so much ad infinitum.........

Tubs that have been well matured (ie hung up for a couple of years in a shop or your workshop) really gain quite a bit of toughness.
