    Why do you ride?

Re: I've been into bikes since I was a kid. Still have memories of being around 10 years old hanging about on BMXs on summer holiday evenings, the smell of the warm tarmac at dusk and the feelings of freedom and happiness. In a way it's still the same; escape, awareness, simplicity and...

Songs I Can't Listen To Without Crying.

Re: Interesting idea for a thread. I have a few, "I can't make you love me" is probably the most guaranteed (Bonnie Raitt or George Michael - both are just as good in different ways), nails that painful, bittersweet situation so well. "Dream baby Dream" by Suicide is also up there, more for...

Re: Beautiful Deuce a few posts back! Along the same lines yesterday (sorry didn't have time to post then) I combined my two passions - cycling and drag racing. There's a drag strip about an hours ride away through some great forest trails, the perfect first outing for my new (to me) Intense...

Monoc TC2 Compact f+f, now sold

Re: Thanks for those :) What I'd also like to know is the 'effective' top tube length - what the imagined horizontal tube top length is - to gauge whether it could be too long or short for my upper body. Like this:

Monoc TC2 Compact f+f, now sold

Re: Could be interested depending on size, which can be misleading sometimes with compact frames in my experience. Can you do your best to measure the virtual/horizontal top tube length? Cheers :)

    Manitou 1 Elastomers

Re: I have some pink elastomers from a Manitou Mach fork that may work? They're in good condition and still soft and measure 19mm in diameter and are 156mm long. I've an old ad here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=334953 If you just want the elastomers I can do them for £6 posted (from Sweden)

    Colnago Master Olympic

Re: I would guess that it's because steel is very in vogue at the moment. Also it's considered the 'classic' Master - as with classic cars there will always be certain years of a certain model that for some reason are more desirable than others. I wonder if alloy will fetch higher prices in...

    Colnago Master Olympic

Re: So, today was the day... Took it out for a quick spin to get a feel for the frame, and I'm happy to say that it did not disappoint! Something magical happens over 30 kph, feels like you're sitting on a cannonball  Love it! As mentioned above it's a bit of a spare-parts build at...
