    Cycles, like most things, have and do have fashions. In the 'fifties black was a popular choice, possibly due to TT rules. The 'sixties had a spell of darkish [bottle?] green as my Ephgrave, also mauve/cherry coloured colours, as was my Tommy Quick frame. A little research will get you some idea...

    Re: There must have been lots of models of the BSA ToB. I vagually remember the one my son-in-law gave me didn't have quality accessories or lugwork anything like your model. I do remember it had a nice leather "Wrights" saddle though . . . even the screw someone had put in to join the bottom...
