Are you sure it isnt a 1993 Marin Team Issue?
It is called a "Manitou 2". The Easton E9 is the tubing used. Its of 1993 - not 1994.
Price varies heavily ... yours is on the low end (undefined elastomer status) and the purple is completely faded. On the used market you can find these from 60...
Tiny bits today ... I just replaced the very worn out SLX tubing sticker. And put some tubes and wheels on the clinchers. I chose a nice old pair of Continental Grand Prix 22x700 for this bike:
Here is the latest!
Now here is the current build-status :-)
Leatherworks for the handle bar. I also made myself some stencils to add the Cinelli-logo in red like the old Cinelli VIP handle-bar & saddle (+ under saddle pouch) kits.
Still looking good! check, if the black rubber dust wipers in the stanchions are still soft and not hard. Might as well take a new set of them, too.
PM me if you like. I would sell you the elastomer set + aluminium washer (+ a pair of dust-wipers if you wish).
Cheers!
Hi!
You could have arranged all the parts you have left a little better so I could analyze it properly :)
There might be washers or bushings still in the tubes. How about cleaning it all up first and then we see exactly what you have and what you need.
I do have the elastomer kits, dust caps...
Major update here! I finally was able to solve the fork question.
I managed to buy 2 other Cinelli Supercorsa project bikes (shipping damaged) of the mid 90s with matching color and simply took one fork.
I made an extension shim and started the surgery. Have done these fork extensions plenty...
I am dusting off this pretty old thread ... also because I think here there is a lot of non existing skill wondering around here ;-) ;) ;-)
Removing the Cook Bros Racing crank arm from the sypder is (and has always been) very easy.
1.) Unscrew the main M8 screw on the bottom side.
2.) Place...
I have a re-painted one (20" inches, gator linear fade. Painted by Dave Wilkins - former master painter of KLEIN) and am looking for a swap to a stripped one + some money for the paint.
I excuse and get in line here :-)
I have a freshly re-painted one (MC1 20" inches, gator linear fade. Painted by Dave Wilkins - former master painter of KLEIN) and am looking for a swap to a stripped one + some money for the paint.
I excuse and get in line here :-)
Yeah, the generic fork on the Giant you buy is definitely much better or safer 😂 It might as well come from the EXACT same factory. With luck from the exact production line 😂
I bet a lot of them are not bad
Best option is still to get a great oldschool time carbon fork. like I did for my Merlin Titans. 3 pieces! I just repainted them.
