Re: Re: Hope these are OK. Thanks to all for replies. New KMC chain already fitted - it was OK with the old, stretched one.

WANTED - Uniglide 6 Speed - Smallest Locking Sprocket

Re: Re: Thanks but nothing in that list is suitable. They're either Dura Ace, wrong number of teeth or to fit 7 or 8 speed versions. Not going to be easy!

Pedals Occasionally Slip Forward When In Top Gear

Thanks, but there will presumably be a lot more to change if I change to a freewheel and different cassette? As for the alternative 6 speed freewheels in your Ebay link, I wouldn't know which one to go for if I was to change the setup. Definitely want to stick with 6 speed though and would want...

WANTED - Uniglide 6 Speed - Smallest Locking Sprocket

Thanks for your reply, Old School. Won't be getting the bike out 'til this weekend, so will have a teeth count. Supposing it's either 13 or 14 if I remember right. Shouldn't be a problem getting it off. Came off last year after being on for best part of 30 years for a new Uniglide hub. I was...

WANTED - Uniglide 6 Speed - Smallest Locking Sprocket

Pedals Occasionally Slip Forward When In Top Gear

Thanks very much for your reply. Makes sense, especially as top gear is probably one of the gears that gets most use. Is it true that on Uniglides, you can turn the sprockets around to get more use out of them? The problem sprocket will be the smallest outer one that is also the threaded lock...

Can I Index Friction Shifter For 3 Sprocket Crankset?

BIKE DETAILS: Late 80s British Eagle MTB, 18 speed (6 gear Uniglide & 3 sprocket oval Biopace), Deore derailleurs and Deore SIS shifters. My bike has the original Deore SIS friction shifter to change between the the 3 sprockets on the crankset. Is there a way to change this so that changing is...
