Just couldn't resist these Chorus skeleton brakes. A bit too modern for the frame, but they look so good.

Finally got a wheelset built using Chorus hubs and Mavic CXP 22 rims. I think they suit the look of the bike. Saddle changed to a Selle Italia Flite and black Fizik bar tape. 39t inner chain ring now fitted and the only thing left to do is to fit a Deda Murex 90mm stem as the current stem is a...

    Robster's Vitus 992

Re: Very nice pair of bikes. The blue is lovely. A Selle Italia Flite would look good, or a Reydel Pro ( preferably a yellow one)?

13-28 cassette arrived today, bought off Ebay. Almost new and noticeable benefit on hills. Will wait and see if 39t inner chainring still necessary. Anyone have any thoughts on Rigida DP18 aero rims?

    Robster's Vitus 992

Re: You should post that photo! Ditto with the 52-42, currently 13-23 but going to try 13-28 as very hilly here. Hope it fits, as running out of gears on the hills. Who supplied your decals?

    Robster's Vitus 992

The bike looks great. The blue is very smart. I hope to get a similar Selle Italia Flite saddle. I'm using the same groupset, what gearing are you using?? Still looking for a set of wheels, Campagnolo or Mavic but will have to raise my budget !

    Vitus 979 Build - Revisited

Re: Looks great. Hope you get plenty of use out of it. I have a set of Cinelli Giro d'Italia 64-42 bars which came with the Chorus groupset I used. You are more then welcome to them in return for the decals as I wont use them. PM me if you want interested and I can photo them, tidy them up a...

Re: Just ordered the 992 frame decals from Dizzibird. Will have to add up the final build cost, as it has eaten into my budget for a Chorus equipped Canyon Ultimate Al with Mavic Kysrium wheels which I have been promising myself. It will be interesting to compare the two bikes.

Re: A few photos of the Vitus with the decals supplied gratis by Howlindawg. They look great, wasn't 100% sure where to put them, but looks good. Will get the 3 frame 992 decals and leave it at that. Also fitted a 60mm stem to reduce the stretch, looks a little odd but works a treat. Just need...

Re: Hopefully the changes to the gearing will help. So far, the bike feels great, very precise and fast. Think the flexibility thing may be overdone a bit, or else Im not producing enough power! I think I will replace the top tube Vitus decals and the three small blue 992 tubing decals and...

Re: The insert is threaded into the lug of the bike and Loctite used to secure as well. Won't budge. Very pleased with the way the bike looks, have a 60mm stem ordered as current one is 110mm and a little bit too long. Gearing is 52,42 with a 26,13 cassette. As it's quite hilly here in south...
