There's a belter up for sale on ebay. 65 quid collected from cheshire, but it looks in really good nick. I'm away for a while so won't get back to finishing this for a while. I have the rims and hubs but no spokes yet!

Brilliant, cheers Jonny! I have ordered Sapim butted spokes and the front hub is a new Deore 36h, the back is a new Sturmey Archer internal hub 36h. I think the weight limit must be due to these things being built on to Aluminium axled kids racing hubs so I am no longer concerned for my safety...

If you do, have a look on ebay.fr and search 'Roue Libre 6v'. There are often NOS Sachs Maillard freewheels on there.

Richard Sorry, the above list is correct, and I have corrected my previous post. British and ISO are essentially completely interchangeable and you could interchange ISO and Brit threaded freewheels on the same ISO or British hub. Italian will fit on to ISO and British threaded hubs, but if...

The good thing with hiring bikes to the yachters is they may want to hire the bike for long periods. If they can stow on on board for a week as they cut about the UK it is less hassle than day hire maybe. Or sell 'em!

Get a few folding bikes built to hire out or sell to the yachters maybe. Bimbling in to a new town to get food shopping in or get to a nice pub might mean you have a market with the boating lot?

Isn't it more to do with injudicious sand blasting as part of the frame prep?

They still do. 70 quid on ebay and spare heads available. Do they do a good job or are factory threads better? I'm so rubbish at spoke calculation one of these could save me money!

100kilos mate. The rim is 36h. Looking at its construction it looks beefier than the mavic A319 I usually use, and very well structured (no eyelets but holes are drilled at the angle the nipple sits at etc) Cheers Nob :-) Jon
