Is that color Purpleen or Kameleon Fire Green (KFG). KFG was the color used for other bikes in that same year and in 1998.

Yeah, I have thought the same about repainting it. The decals are one off's and the rest of them are very difficult to come by without having reproductions done. I do have a custom paint facility at work though, we can replicate the colors, pinstriping and decals on the plotter.

I remember when this bike came out. Cannondale created a foam injection kit shortly after to be injected into the lower bottle cage boss near the bottom bracket. This structural foam was supposed to reinforce the BB area. you may want to check to see that this was indeed done.

What does the serial number say? I know that two of the prototypes that I have just didn't have serial numbers at all. On one I had them stamp one in with a number I chose. A third one I have has the original team rider's name and production date as the serial number. That number should help.
