    Dynatech MT4

I knew someone who had a MT5, chainstays were a little flexy, probably the reason why the team bikes were built with cromo stays. I do remember the uber cool trimnell forks, they were ahead of there time. The guy swapped them for some RC30's and a ti flex stem, oh those were the days.

    Question about singlspeed

It also creates a very light bike, superb handling. I enjoy the simplicity of it.

    GT Zaskar Project

I used some of the techniques presented in this forum. For polishing I used Belgom Aluminium Polish, worked a treat and only needs a couple of coats. I think Autosol is the same stuff but does not have as much wax in it. I also ended up polishing some M900 cranks which look superb. I...

Some people may remember the Zaskar from this discussion. http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4574&highlight=zaskar I came to a deal with downhillsheep and I recieved the frame before xmas. A few hours with the nitromors and a revitalised Zaskar was borne, abit as a single...

    Polishing

Having spent the xmas holidays polishing frames and bits, I have discovered the best way described somewhere in the forum. I tried some the kits available on the bay but found the mechanical methods and polishing wheels a bit cack, in the end used a soft lint free cloth and Belgom, a pretty...

Depending where you are, Tiso's are doing deals on boots. Was in Rose Street in Edinburgh this week and they also have some deals on some jackets. Prices in some of the bargain shops in the Lakes are a lot less tho.

I agree the paramo stuff needs to be used on its own, but I find it too hot for the alps in August / Sept in all but extreme weather conditions and bivying out. I have not used any millet k gear, have stockpiled lots od Mtn Equipment stuff due to knowing the local rep and on trips to the...
