    Lug less Carlton Corsa?

I was guessing damaged and repaired given the welding. Seems to have been done a long time ago though.

    Lug less Carlton Corsa?

Looking at a bike locally, it's badged as a Carlton Corsa and has the wrap over seat stays. Every other one I've seen has lugs, this one doesn't, the patina and decals all seem authentic but it has no top tube lugs....-re-badged! Fake?,

Rust bucket I got for $27 while on holiday

Re: Loving that, should look amazing when sorted.

    MBK Adventure

Hi, But of a lurker, have been in the Retro road forum but now have an MTB. Not especially coveted but it rides well and for £20 I think it's a good start! All original, quite heavy cro-mo steel frame but lots of fun. Only managed a quick go after getting it set up and everything checked...

    Raleigh Equipe rebuild

That's a great colour, looks like a good paint job too. Are you putting decals back on it?

    Carlton Grand Prix

Re: Could well be. I've never seen an original detailed spec sheet for the very late ones. I can see it would have looked really good when it left the factory. Does make me want one of the r501 or higher spec bikes. spec bikes actually.

    LEJOG - anyone done it?

This is something I'd love to do in the future. Will take a few years to have the time and fitness I would think given I've only done 400 miles total since I've got back on a bike in July. Sounds like a great experience and a worthwhile goal.

    FS: Carlton Grand Prix £50!

Made August 1980 at Nottingham. A bit battered and after getting the Team Corsa I won't be restoring it so it needs to go. All the bits are there and work fine. It's got Weinmann 700c wheels on the usual Maillard hubs. I'll include a Suntour VX rear derailleur as the Raleigh one is way past its...

    Carlton Grand Prix

So, here it is. Made August 1980 at Nottingham. A bit battered and after getting the Team Corsa I won't be restoring it. All the bits are there and work fine. It's got Weinmann 700c wheels on the usual Maillard hubs. I'll probably not even ride it! Really wanted a Worksop one so...

    NBD: Raleigh Team Corsa 12

Got this quite cheap. It has a couple of issues but it rides like an absolute dream compared to my Carrera and even my Boardman Carbon. It's got paint over the seat tube decal and it's been touched in with white and not Pearl paint. RX100 Deraileur on the back, apparently this is almost...

    Hi! Carlton Serial number question...

Re: It's a Team Corsa. Pearl White and has all the right parts. February 85 from the serial.

    Hi! Carlton Serial number question...

Ah, no, couldn't be, they just used the W serial. I've just said myself that Worksop closed in 80/81!

    Hi! Carlton Serial number question...

Would be awesome if it was, it looks like they were built in Worksop too!

    Hi! Carlton Serial number question...

Yup, quite possibly, bit worried about it saying 14 speed and the Mavics but I'm guessing it won't hurt the frame as the Corsa is a 12 speed.

    Hi! Carlton Serial number question...

Thank you! Will try and get some up on Wednesday in a new thread. I also seem to have "accidentally" bought a Raleigh Team Cadet in Panasonic colours for similar money...picking that up tomorrow hopefully...it does however appear to have an "incorrect" sticker that might mean it's something...

    Hi! Carlton Serial number question...

Hiya, just bought my first Retro bike. A Carlton Grand Prix. Not exactly a top end bike but for £50 I'll go with it. It's serial seems to indicate it was made in August 1980 at Nottingham...NH004xxxx. I know Worksop closed in 1980 and they switched to Nottingham but all the info seems to say it...
