Muddy is now looking a lot different. New saddle and retro style tyres fitted. Everything cleaned and checked. Had first little venture out today. All is good. Really enjoying it.

Many thanks for your comments. Already on the saddle replacement and pedals will be SPD. I haven't sourced any amberwalls yet. I would really like some 1.5's or maybe 1.75's These are what I used to race on. Any ideas where I can find them?

The frame is very good. No rust with good paintwork apart from one very small area which has been badly touched up. Yes we both have fond memories. It is 27years old and still a good ride now. Needs a really good clean and inspection. I will get started on it hopefully next week.

I have a really soft spot for these bikes. My son had the same model as this for his first real MTB. It was bought new in 1989 and had shimano parts. Oh the memories!
