That a wee dig at my weight? :o ha ha I'm not obsessed with the weight of the bike and how to make it lighter, this weekend I took it to Gisburn forest where I now understand the comment about if it's too light the bike may skit about and that the extra weight may help with downhills, however...

I must be wrong, there is no way an RTS could possibly be so light, must be the scales... or my eyesight. Cheers for the info though.

Apologies, just reweighed it on some other scales at dead on 22lbs, so just under 10kg... Still pretty light ;)

Been out on my newly built RTS a couple times now, I knew it was lighter than my old '05 Ruckus that that seemed to be made of wrought iron. But I was suprised at just how light it is, especially for a full susser, at just 20lbs/9kg it's almost as light as my road bike. My mates all ride...

Just a quickie... were early saracen frames made by same people as early gt's? they seemed to have a similar toptube with an 's' etched in where the 'gt' is. JT

Finally took the RTS out for it's first ride out after fitting the new chainring, loved it. Some minor adjustments required but rides great. Now I can't wait to take it to Gisburn Forest :) JT

Got outbid on a GT seat clamp which went for £10 + £2.50 post. Was gutted so did another search and found one for £4.99 bin +£2 post... Bonus ;) Bought a Middleburn chainring to replace my worn middle chainring also :) JT
