What's the band on size? Is the anodising cracked, looks a little but pictures are deceiving?

Denton didn't make their own bikes. They used quite a few people over the years including Mercian, SBDU and Dave Yates. The Frame number may shine a light onto who built it.

Thanks for the kind offer but I think I'll get Argos to just change the bosses. I'm guessing Argos is the go to still, anyone have other recommendations? I can't work out if I should build it up with modern parts (7700 or campag) or a TA chainset and huret derailleurs. I'll get it painted first...

OK, frame turned up yesterday. Its as nice as I hoped and will be off to Argos for a few changes and paint. Band on simplex levers don't fit. I may get them changed for standard bosses to make my life easy.

The setup is very "normal" for a thorn. Unfortunately these are harder to sell at the moment for some reason and I'd expect £800 to be closer. The other guy is trying to have you on. I'm an ex mechanic and even a full strip and rebuild including a bearings grease, new cables and oil would come...

It doesn't look stable now so she in a full back brace and still in hospital. I still can't believed it happened. We're not old and she wasn't going fast.

Yeah, she will be but in 20 years together I've never seen he bed ridden. She never seriously gets Ill or hurts herself.

What's amazing is she only has a few very tiny grazes. I guess she must have just fallen in a weird way. At least it seems like a good break as far as back goes. Hopefully we will find out more tomorrow.

Went to visit her today. They won't let her stand up yet but I'm hoping its just to aid recovery. She was supposed to have a second lot of xrays today but that didn't happen. She seems in good spirits.
