I used silver solder rather than braze, it costs more but melts at a lower temperature and wicks in a bit better. must get on with it, would like to be riding it this year. Pete

yep, touch ups are available for yamaha 0564 "Deep Purplish Blue Metalic C" or DPBMC for short! nice small 2001 race, I love my 2001 race, i know it was made in Taiwan and GT were going though some turbulent times at that point, but its a great bike- the one I normally choose. Light and fast. Pete

Just got a reply from Olympic Powder Coating! copied below Cool old pictures, The frame found it's way all the way to England? The coating looks like a powder that we had made to match the Yamaha Supercross bikes we did for them back in the '90's. It was custom powder so there's no color code...

I agree, to many get stripped and polished although they do look great like that, but if touching up I wont be happy until I get the colour spot on. Pete

Hi all, I've just got another zaskar frame to build up :) , which is a little scruffy, so I'm considering striping and either polishing or repainting/powder coating, or touch up and ride as it is. Question is -1998 decals, I rather like the made in America sticker, where can i get a new one...

I think it looks like a version (copy) of GT's triple triangle, but not as aesthetically pleasing.
