Re: Thanks for the compliments! A friend will bring me some cinelli 65-38 handlebars he has lying around. I have to see whether the 26.4 handlebars will fit the 26.0 stem. The clampdesign on the dure ace stem might make it work. Otherwise I will probably buy new 26.0 cinelli criterium bars...

Re: Here's a mockup of the bike. Still have to pick up a different, less abused flite saddle. Also still looking for matching wheels and handlebars. The bike is rideable, but the rearwheel keeps slipping in the dropouts. Would it be solved with different quickreleases or does it also have to...

Re: Mike, yes, that was the picture I was looking for! Also, I know that they were on 8 speed in '94, but it's very hard (expensive) to get a nice 7400 sti group. Got the 7700 set for a very good price

Re: I'm definitely not going for a full repaint now. Just gonna give it my best to restore the chrome. In my opinion it would be a shame to touch te paint because it's an old team bike with accompanying battle scars.

    Campagnolo body upgrade

Re: @latman, that would also be interesting. Maybe I should just go and have a look. I sure I once read somewhere that it is possible for old campa hubs to upgrde them to 11 speed. Of couse I can't remember where and I can't find it back, but it had something to do with oversized and...

    Campagnolo body upgrade

Hi all, I can get my hands on a mid '90's set of Shamals, which is the good part. The bad part is that it is fitted with a shimano 8-9-10 speed body. Is it possible to fit those wheels with a campagnolo body that possibly even fits a 11v cassette? Cheers

Re: Just bought some Chorus 9v cranks, brakes and front derailleur to complement the daytona parts for cheap. This should be fine to get it through the winter. In the mean time I can save and search for something that realy suits the frame.

Re: Difficult to find pictures of the '94 Lotto-Caloi team and bike. Best picture I found shows Andrei Tchmil on what looks like a Extra Corsa. Clearly it is build with dura ace as are the othe pictures of team bikes that I found. I also spot a grammo so I think I should start saving some money...

Re: I think the toptube looks similar to others. I measured it yesterday, it is horizontal ovalized at the head tube to 31.4*26.8 and vertical ovalized at the seattube to 27.5*30.5. In the center it's round, measuring 29mm.

Re: Quoting from an other forum it has a 40mm x 30mm biaxially ovalized down tube and is shaped from a 35mm round tube with a .8/.5/.8mm butting profile. The MAX seat tube is also ovalized and shaped from a 31.7mm round tube with a 28.6mm diameter at the top and a 37x26.5 ovalization at the BB...

My first steel roadbike! Lotto-Calloi was a team in the early nineties. This frame was ridden by Mauro Ribeiro. It's from '94, since that was the only year he joined that team. It's MX Leader in sheep's clothing, with the Eddy Merckx logo engraved in all the lugs and brakebridge. Picked it...
