Rebuild has started on my Tommasini

Any reason why I can't make my own cables up? Is there anything odd about Ergos and the attachment of the gear cables? Or the brake cables come to that? luv'n'stuff J

How old do you think this might be?

Re: Basso That's what I said earlier. It's all brand new and unused kit. It's not original to the frame - downtube levers (poss Mavic) and brakes (deffo Mavic). What I got with the frame his father had bought already to upgrade the bike. It was his pride and joy. Then he died...

    USERNAMES!!!

Team Lard. Sixteen stone. I knew you were wondering. Occasionally mess with recumbents. Low Angle Recumbent Dynamics. And 'Team Hot Pies' were featured in MBUK before it became the S***e P**t Fanzine, stopped being about riding bikes and became all 'lifestyle' and 'how much can you...

Thay are actually branded 'Mavic' if that helps. I'm going to change them, may not be fitting the Veloce brakes pictured but going for some dual pivots which might have a chance of actually stopping the bike.

How old do you think this might be?

Sorry, Guys. I know pretty much all I need to about the group. It's the frame that I don't know anything about. It's lug brazed so it's pre 90s, Columbus tubing with Stronglight headset and Cinelli stem (XA?). What can you tell me? J

How old do you think this might be?

The wheels are Open Pro on 8spd Veloce hubs. Brand new but a dozen years old or so. This gear has been in my mate's loft for yonks. Not sure who built the wheels but it could have been Woodrup in Leeds. J

How old do you think this might be?

Got this... ...with this... ...and this Given some decent weather and some luck in finding a matching chainset, I should have this on the road for late spring :D I'm given to understand it's early 80s but the gruppo (which is all brand new BTW) is 8spd Ergo with single...

    Dilemma! Help me out, please.

OK. So I've got too many bikes. (So what's new?) The question is what do I sell? The list is as follows: 1992 Trek 950 - That's MY bike (and I'll NEVER sell it) 199? Dynatech - built into 16spd roadbike/tourer with slicks & drops 198? Peugeot - fillet brazed, 14spd 105/600 with guards...
