    GT Tequesta

I picked up a (I believe) 96 GT Tequesta with the “Afterburner” paint job on it today. Not 100% what I’m going to do with it, it seems to work as it is but could do with a good service. I’m not sure wether to clean everything up with the original parts, possibly re-do the paint job- although...

If Phat bikes aren't ridiculous enough already

Re: In fairness, at least it’s something a bit different, unlike “flat bar gravel bikes”... or hybrids as we’ve known them for years!

Missed out on an Orange Clockwork today

Found an Orange clockwork from late 80’s early 90’s today on marketplace. It was a complete bike and looked to only need a minor restoration. Alas, I spent too much time debating whether I really needed it and by the time I’d sent a message it had sold. The real sting in the tail... it was...

Got your PM, can’t reply to it (I’ve not been a member long enough?). Haven’t tried taking them off yet, I’ll give it a go over the next day or 2 and let you know how I get on!

    1991 Claud Butler Spirit 400

Thanks for the responses guys! The picture is quite flattering, it’s certainly well used. I think I’ll use it as I’ve built it until a find the right frame for me, then put this back together and sell it as a whole bike to clear the space. Peachy, I’ll take a look at them today for you

    1991 Claud Butler Spirit 400

I’ve recently been making a gravel type bike from an bike my parents had sat around in the garden. While trying to do some research on the bike I came across this forum via this viewtopic.php?f=9&t=141351 I realised the bike had virtually all original parts, even down to the red cable outers...

    Help identify my frame

Re: Some may argue I’ve got too much free time... but I was bored so, after a quick google I found this http://www.vintage-trek.com/SerialNumbers.htm 94 seemed like a good starting point at which point I then found this- http://www.retrobike.co.uk/gallery2/d/4 ... fisher.pdf

    Fork goodness sakes ...another question.

Re: The quill stem adapter method makes the most sense to me... You’d need to use your current top cap and some spacers to hold the system in place, the ones in the adapters (Or certainly on my one) sit flush, because there’s no need to clamp down from the top to hold your fork in place, as it...
