WTD - Old/worn out bottom bracket

You would think they would but the guy said I would need to supply something and he suggested a BB works well. The last time I had a frame coated (at a different place) I didn't supply anything. What do you have to spare ? How much would you want to post it to me? Cheers, Luke.

Yeah I will do that if I have to although my most local bike shop is not that local (20 miles away).

WTD - Old/worn out bottom bracket

Hi, I dropped my frame off at the powder coaters on Friday but they need me to supply something to stop the bottom bracket threads getting damaged. All of my BB's are too good to use as it will get covered in powder coat. Does anyone have a 68mm English thread bb that they don't need ...

Single Speed Project - Old track frame

Well after spending the day at the Cycle show on Thursday I've come away with some really good ideas on how I want this to look when it's finished. Bianchi had a particularly nice plain white, flat bar single-speed so I might use that for inspiration. I dropped the frame off to be powder...

Single Speed Project - Old track frame

I was planning on running a 1/8" chain on the single speed setup so I could easily stick my track wheel in and give fixed ago. (I'll have to be careful with the tubs though) Luke.

He is tall at 6ft3 but I'm taller at 6ft4 so it won't be an issue. I will just be running a front brake so don't need to worry about getting a boss brazed on. Luke.

Single Speed Project - Old track frame

I have quite a few sets of wheels so I could easily run SS or fixed depending on what I feel like at the time. I will probably start out on single-speed until I'm comfortable on the bike then go for the fixed. I've got to be honest and say that I never ridden fixed on the road but I have...

Single Speed Project - Old track frame

Hi all, My brother has just moved house and as a result of a clear out I benefited from a few bike bits including wheels, campag track hubs, turbo trainer and this track frame. This frame was my brothers old track racing frame which has been used at many nationals in the late...

FS Mavic GEL 280 tubular front wheel - very light

Hi I have what a believe to be a Mavic GEL 280 tubular front wheel built on a mavic hub. The mavic decals are missing but it was my brothers wheel and he said it was a GEL 280. It is 28 hole built as radial (no spoke crosses) and weighs 690g without tub and skewer. The rim has rub...
