Karma KHS FXT - gone to a new home.

    8. Probably came as 7-speed, so 8-speed would have been a nice upgrade when it was a few years old. 9 is too modern IMO. Nice frame. :)

OK. New wheels built on saturday over a bottle of red wine and after a great dinner with a mate :D Classic Mavic Open Pro's with DT Revolution 2,0/1,5 mm spokes and alloy nipples. Crossed 3 times. Should get the bike rolling before x-mas! :P

    50's Fixed wheel 'path' bike

What a great piece of history on wheels! How did you do the beautiful lug lining? Any special techniques you would like to share? Cheers, Ulrich

Ok, Cantis sorted...IYO what are THE best canti pads?

These Ritchey pads are great! Also, they're only £3 at CRC! If they're too wide, they're pretty easy to cut, and they won't tear your sidewalls if set up is incorrect. A true classic!

Just got a much nicer rear hub. :D Last silver non-disc Hügi 240 from the danish distributor. QR is an old Shimano (600?), bit of polishing needed...

    Anyone remeber which front hub...

Yup! That was the one I was thinking of. Thanks. :) Wouldn't trust a wheel built on this, but it looks cool!

    Anyone remeber which front hub...

Back in the mid nineties, some american hub maker produced a front hub with no middle section. So the hub consisted of only an axle, two sealed bearings, and two flanges on the bearings. And I'm not thinking of the polycarbonate Hershey hubs. This was totally open, weighed around 50 grams...

In the theme of retro... My 2008 Cervelo SLC-SL

Nice! Refreshing to see someone mixing Campagnolo and Shimano. Very unusual, but hey, why not? What was your motivation for doing so? Looks like a great, light and still very functional bike! And very non-retro.... /Ulrich

My Gt Lightning: old and modern

I normally don't like the triple triangle design, but this bike is simply fantastic. Very nice and clean build, and there's nothing wrong with putting the (right) modern parts on a bike like this! Very very well done! 8)

    Very simple chainline question...

Except, if you have an old Klein with glued bearings in the BB. That is actually quite a bit harder. Don't know if the Rascal have them though...

    What did we learn today?

That perfectly good and nice looking Shimano Dura-Ace components are often frowned upon by the Campagnolo crowd. (I don't take sides, I just like to use nice, good functioning components, that I have lying around, or can get for cheap).

I don't remember where that is. Only that there was something with that name... Might have a friend who is the grand- or great grandson of mr. Klint actually. Where on Stationsvej is it? Is it close to something I should know? I haven't been there for several years, so my memory is starting...

Do you live in Årslev? I grew up there. Close to the church in Sdr. Nærå! Lived there for the first 19 years of my life. Small world!
