A 2008 spec, 95 Kona Hahanna - Retro and not so retro

I'll post an update on the forks once I have got the bike on the road and put a few miles on them. One of the reasons I opted for Carbon rather than Alu or Steel was the softening of the bumps as I havent ridden fully rigid in years (I think I upgraded to some 96 Marzocchi XCR's within months of...

A 2008 spec, 95 Kona Hahanna - Retro and not so retro

Wasn't sure where to post this, so as a lot of the components used in the build are brand new I opted for the safety of the post 98 section - even though she's retro at heart! Similar to what a lot of people have done over the past 12 months or so, I thought I would have a go at making a...

I was hoping that the half link chain would enable me to adjust the length of the chain to...

    Have we killed RetroBike?

Another new member here and it seems that I arrived at an interesting time. I agree with what a lot of people have already said. I admire and am in awe at some of the rides out there and the attention to detail in bringing these amazing bikes back to life in as true to original form as...

    1996 Kona Cindercone single speed

Wow - that looks excellent - great job! I'm starting my Kona Singlespeed project in a few weeks and was toying with either Matt Black or White. After seeing these pictures, it's a no-brainer - White all the way!

Not retro at all '95 Kona Kilauea

That looks great - I'm about to get started in transforming my 94 Hahanna into a SS set up for riding around Manhattan. What did you do to be able to run a disc at the back? At the moment, I'm resigned to running front brake only as I can't run V's on the back with my disc only wheelset.
