Very nice. I'm now thinking of maybe powder coating the Zaskar a nice green or orange and having the forks done black. Any thoughts?

I thought about leaving it as is and just building it up - in fact it is more or less in exactly that state at the moment. But - each time I look at it I am slightly depressed as it is a nice bike and deserves to look better (is this a common feeling amongst bike lovers who rebuild old 'loves'...

Thanks for the reply. Don't really need the money as I have all the bits, although space is lacking thanks to bike components :lol: Looking at the pictures above makes me realise that the Zaskar red is actually quite a fetching colour and probably deserves some TLC before just recoating it...

Re: What is the difference between a Zaskar and Zaskar LE fr I had a 99 Zaskar LE and the seat stay bridge and rear dropouts were a lot more sculptured than the standard Zaskar. Should never have sold that beauty :(

Nobody seems to know how good these forks are :shock: 63mm travel, Englund air cartridges for suspension. Very light (lighter than SIDs of their day) and still working well. 187mm steerer Suitable for V brake or disks. Hold air well and in I'd say good condition for age. £55 posted...

I have a set of speed dial 1.9 levers. They work well but are scratched on the black bit. £10 posted.

Saddle SOLD. Also 8 speed shifters. (3sp front) Don't know a lot about these as I found them in an odds and sodds box in the garage. Seem to click and index ok, but not tested on a bike. £10 posted.
