Mongoose IBOC Pro SX 94 same a Giant Cadex?

Re: Re: Thank you for the link! That was useful! Dropouts are another thing that is very different. The chain and seatstayare one piece with the dropout welded on it. I also think the carbon tubes are longer and the aluminium links (bb, headtube en part around seattube) smaller on the Cadex...

Mongoose IBOC Pro SX 94 same a Giant Cadex?

Thanks Timo! This frame is different from my Mongoose. The seatstay is very different. Yours a 94? have seen pictures of other cadexes from 94(ish) that also looked different from your frame. So there has been some variation in the Cadex frames I think.

Mongoose IBOC Pro SX 94 same a Giant Cadex?

Re: Re: Hi Tomoth, you can mail them if you want. Do you perhaps have a shot of the dropouts without wheel in it? Do all the Cadexes have partly carbon seatstays?

Mongoose IBOC Pro SX 94 same a Giant Cadex?

Hi Folks! Haven't been here for a while (sadly). But now I am turning to the collective knowledge on this forum again. So I bought a Mongoose IBOC Pro SX from 94 a while back and I am currently using it as a retro-mod project (frame hadpoor paint, chainsuck etc but still in one solid piece)...

How to remove this type of freewheel, NEW question added!

Re: Re: Dumb me! Did not take that into consideration. It is the same reason why you should not use a chain tensioner and vertical drop-outs for a fixed gear. Brain fart much. The second point holds also true and I should have know this. Because I tried if I could unscrew it with a chainwhip...

Cannondale 1991 SM700 or SM800 (?????) what is it worth?

Have been looking there now and went through all the 1990 and 1991 brochures. That is why I reduced it to it being a 1990 SM700, with the "Cannondale" decal on the wrong tube. Reasons why a SM700 is because mine has the seatpost pump, the SM800 did not. That was the only difference I could find...

Cannondale 1991 SM700 or SM800 (?????) what is it worth?

Traced the year back to it being a 1990! Despite the Cannondale logo on the sloping tube. Still don't know whether this would be a SM800 or a SM700. Edit: Because it has the seatpost pump, I think it is a SM700. The "competition series" decal on the top tube and the lack of type numbering also...

How to remove this type of freewheel, NEW question added!

So I was wondering! This freewheel does not freewheel (makes sense in a weeeeeiiiird way :P ) So I was wondering, you can use this freewheel, sprocket set and ride a fixed gear with gears (again it makes sense in a weird way :P )!?!? This ofcourse without the freewheeling front cranck mechanism...

Cannondale 1991 SM700 or SM800 (?????) what is it worth?

Hi All, So I bought this cannondale May last year. I really really like the looks with the lime splashes on it. So I identified it as being a 1991 SM700, am I correct? It is almost completely original. Only the rear rim and the handlebars are not. Parts, fork (Ritchey), seatpost with pump...

How to remove this type of freewheel, NEW question added!

Re: How to remove this type of freewheel and what type is it?? The weird thing is that the bike is equiped with a Shimano 105sc (1055/1056) group, so no FF system. But then again I bought it in a thrift store so god know, maybe they just slapped these wheels under it.

How to remove this type of freewheel, NEW question added!

Re: How to remove this type of freewheel and what type is it?? That could very well be, because what I understood from an afternoon on the webs searching, was that those did not have a toll thing. So how did you get it off? Turning counterclockwise is the right way to go right?

How to remove this type of freewheel, NEW question added!

Hello all, Turning with slight desperation to the good people here! So on this Giant Cadex CFR3 from 1993 was this pretty cool wheelset. Ambrosio 19 Extra Elite Aero Dynamic on (what I believe are) Campagnolo Nuovo Tipo hubs. The 6 speed freewheel (?? must be right?) was crappy. So I want it...
