Does anyone have any idea where I can get some 94 fire mountain (or above) decals? Preferably a full set including fork, stem etc. Looks like I'm going to have 4 days to sort the strip and respray at the end of this week so need everything sharpish!

Cool, thanks for the info guys, I'll try and track down the decals and will let you see the finished results shortly... I realise powder coating is probably the way forward but i'm curious to see how well my efforts turn out - I like to learn the hard way!

The "good" point about people stealing as opposed to cloning your plates is that you know they've done it and can report it prior to the bills etc piling up on the doormat. To be honest, if you clone a plate of a smartish car (chose a repmobile for best results!)you're prob gonna get away...

If you go down to the local supermarket you can't be certain that there'll be a 1999 silver astra coupe or whatever, if you type it into autotrader etc you'll get loads - note number plate, job done.

But V brakes and levers will work ok? I thought they would but read about "v-brake stops" on frames and now I'm confused!

Is there any reason I can't swap the cantis on my (well, soon to be mine - cheers floyd!) 94 kona Fire Mountain with P2s for v-brakes? I remember doing the same thing on my old klein but obviously that had different forks. And does anyone know of a site selling lots of purple anodized kit?!

Anyone got anything they want to get rid of? I'm after any frame with the P2s, not really bothered by componentry but would like the champagne coloured stem to match the forks! Sizewise 18" - 20" should be ok. Can collect from yorks/lincs area. Cheers!
