Would it have been wrong to...

...stop the car, jump out and run after the 100yr old (ish) man riding a totally stock 1998/9 Klein Pulse Pro in the opposite direction in slow motion style in order to offer to buy it off him? "I'll give you £100 for it and even drop you off at Halfords - you can get one of those full...

hmmmm.... A ladies specific bikeshop must be a thought in the back of someones mind!

    Female bike shop staff...?

Totally see where you're coming from but I would expect evens and the like to be fielding at least one female member of staff if possible. - I imagine that the female market is growing at quite a rate and a "friendly face" inside the shop would probably be a large factor in the decision making...

    Female bike shop staff...?

Has anyone ever actually seen one? I know one who has recently branched out into selling (high end) bikes from the outdoor shop that she runs. She chooses the range, does the servicing (cyteched up), cycles a lot and knows pretty much everything about her brand, most of the competitors and...

bloke room/man cave/ garage rebuild!! i had fun!!

I'd seriously consider either bricking that window up or fitting bars to it. Most reflective films don't work well in the dark if there is a lightsource shining from the inside - anyone walking by would be able to see right in. Does look ace though!

    Should I go fixed?

I agree with the idea that riding a fixed off road is probably going to end in tears at some point but if that's what floats your boat then good luck! Basically I want low maintainence and to put off any casual borrowing of my new bike, not to make any kind of "look at me I'm sooooo...

    Should I go fixed?

No idea what you mean mate...

    Should I go fixed?

Oh and I forgot to mention the other reason for going fixed is as an extra anti-borrowing device! No gears and no obvious brakes means if someone needs a bike for a shop run they prob wont choose mine...

    Should I go fixed?

To be fair it's not going off road, it's going from my room, to work (1km), the shop (250m) or the gym (200m) so I doubt I'll be grinding the pedals on either of those little jollies! However my next kona rebuild will be going off road as a lightweight rigid fireroad eating machine!

    Should I go fixed?

So I got my Kona to work and reassembled it but I had problems fitting the rear brake - so I've just taken it off. Now it looks weird with just the front lever and I'm thinking of taking it off entirely and going fixed. Should I do it? Plus - how fast and direct do p2 forks steer?! I'd...

FS. White 1994 Kona Fire Mountain Singlespeed 18in

Excuse the weird way of doing this, I'm having IT/mobile dramas! The below bike is now for sale for the bargain price of £170 including insured couriering (new word for me!). I don't want to sell it but neither do I want it rotting outside work propped up against the wall...
