    Mystery Frame 1989 753

F%%k Me I can's believe what i'm seeing. I'm not sure if your quite aware of the value and provenance of the bike you own! You have the jewel in the crown of Raleigh banana bikes. A 89 team issue 753 with C Record. I would give bottom bracket to own that bike! I own Dave's 88 bike it's stamped...

Bit of a let down. Would of been better if they had re done the 80's C record group set with some carbon bling. Imagine Carbon Delta brakes!

road Bike of The Year 2012 - Vote Now

Just for the record the Banana, was made in 88 not 1968! It was ridden by the late Dave Rayner I believe this to be the bike he used in the milk race and won the best young riders award on.

Which 80's Raleigh is this on e-bay ?

road Bike of The Year 2012 - Vote Now

Raleighmad's Raleigh 753 is very very nice but for me it would best be described as a classic bike where has the Banana 753 is defiantly Retro. It’s the bike equivalent of a Ford Capri 2.8i with furry dice! I do have to confess to a slight bias here however…
