    Lost my Retro Mojo.........

I go back and forth. I like the retro stuff and the new stuff. At least up to a point. Personally I wouldn't sell anything because when I do then inevitably I regret it later. Retro Mojo (and other mojos) can be like the tide, it comes and goes.

My latest estate sale find - Fuji Odessa

I think this bike is probably pre 97 as it's a 6 speeder out back. I don't think it had ever been ridden. I aired up the tires, adjusted the seat up and the bars down (as far as they'd go!), swapped the brakes around, oiled the chain and have ridden it 50 miles in the last two days. It rides...

    1949 Schwinn Spitfire "Bomber"

I think I might have gotten confused. I'm old, sorry. At any rate the original posters bike is a work of art. I love it. Mine will just be a beater.

    1949 Schwinn Spitfire "Bomber"

No straight down tube but it does have the adjusting screws for the axle. I may be mistaken but I believe my wife determined it was built in 1939 based off of the serial. The frame is bare currently and may remain so. I stripped about 4 different coats of paint off of it. I now have a...

    1949 Schwinn Spitfire "Bomber"

Beautiful bike! I've got a Schwinn DX frame, pre war, that I've been working on for awhile with the same thing in mind. I love yours.

    KHS Montana Team

Ada is a humane society dog. She's a great little dog! So I started cleaning the old KHS up. The adhesive from the duct tape is all dried up and tough to get off. Does anyone have any suggestions on how best to remove the stuff? Also the seat post was missing and I think I know why. I only...

    Work bikes

No, the whole wheel is a system. That was Rolf's catch. Supposedly the opposing pairs work against each other resulting in a light and strong wheel. I believe the rear rim is asymmetrical to strengthen the drive side. They were light for the time and they've proven to be strong so I can't...

    KHS Montana Team

A friend just gave me this bike. He used to race it back in the early 90's but it fell out of favor and ended up in the rafters of his garage. He taped up the pink bits on it when his teenage son wanted to start riding it but was uncomfortable with the pink. So I'm going to get it going and...

Re: peugeot alpina. I love it! I think the frame geometry looks so much better than todays "compact" everything. Nicely done!

    Work bikes

The current wheels are "Rolf's" that I bought back in 2005 or 2006. I needed them in a hurry because I broke a rim the week before a big race here in the mid west called "The 12 miles of hell". It was held on a military artillery base in Lawton Oklahoma. In the Wichita mountains. Back at the...

    Work bikes

Here's my 98 Merlin XLM I bought new. I'm retired now so this is my errand running bike and also my cold weather bike. It's very comfortable and fast. It's been built up all sorts of ways over the years but I very much enjoy it like this at present.
