    Lycra Saddle Covers

Good picture, thanks. Ah, Cosmic Trail. Memories of hot summers and hotter day glow. Never bought their kit. Possibly just as well (may be I do have a style gene). What happened to them? Didn't keep up with fashon when bright grey became the new luminous yellow...

    Saracen Trekker Comp XT 1990

Got it. First 3 pages are on their way. 1000KB each I'm afraid  - I'm not too good at picking the right file sizes etc.

    Saracen Trekker Comp XT 1990

Already posted up on that thread. 8) I do have the full cataogue and price list. The booklet is square and wider than A4. How would you like the scans? E-mail, or in the catalogue section (sbject to file sie restrictions)? It might take a few days to sort out cos I'm bit busy.

    Commencal Ti Ltd Edition

Actualy it's a large. I'm 6'1" with longish legs. I wanted a bike with just over 23" top tube and plenty of crotch clearance. Glad you think Mr Commencal would aprove :)

    Lycra Saddle Covers

The good old lycra saddle cover. The garish, stretch to fit, watch it fade and go translucent, supposedly seat protecting and "style" enhancing sadle condom. Lycra covered saddles were fine 'till you dropped the bike and had to buy a lycra cover.

    X-lite chicken stix - running v brakes?

Agreed, but at the time they were promoted as able to pull enough cable to operate Vs. It was the magazine journo types as opposed to X-Lite themselves who made the claim, so......

    Saracen Trekker Comp XT 1990

Thank you. I've never seen another like it. It's 1990 7000 series aluminium in metallic black. Some of the decals have worn away, in particular the headtube badge. Being the 90s, I added assorted other stickers myself - not that there was much space!. It had original GripShifts (still got...

    1993 Pace RC200 F3 (update page 4)

Lovely. Good luck with the post. RooX seem to have ceased making them (though the last one I had from them was distinctly under-diameter) and my 29.4 has got a sightly bent top plate. I loved my Pace.

    Saracen Trekker Comp XT 1990

Rather battered and scuffed, my resurected Saracen from 1990/2. The second bike I built up from a frame (coutessy of Heffs). The first was a Saracen Eiger Team for my girlfriend of the season  I bet she still has it in mint condition (full Mountain LX ,apart from Black XT Bio-Pace...

    Early Saracen Lovers Anonymous......

Look what I just made :) Well, it's been lurking in the garage for the best part of 20 years, occasionaly resurected and then take to bits again. Now, I guess it'll need a clean, the period correct rear mech rebuilt and the original XT rear wheel plus DX spuds reclaimed. I don't think...

RETROBIKE ROAD RIDE - Would anyone be interested?

I'd not dream of stepping on your SPDs :) Happy to meet up for a comfortable scuttle round the lanes, although my mates Jes or Chip normally lead the rides whilst I just halfwheel them  .

RETROBIKE ROAD RIDE - Would anyone be interested?

I'd be interested. The cafe mentioned is good. Update: we did a local ride from there today and enjoyed quiet, flat roads :D and sunshine  ). The nice lady who runs the shop/cafe says there's a big yard available for parking and, if someone lets her know, they can borrow a...

    Sealskinz socks

I used to swear by them, although I've had a coupleof crappy pairs. But now I've got Shimano winter boots... Oooh, lovely. It's just amazing riding through a puddle and feeling the cold and wet NOT get into your shoes.
